Biographical Information
Mr. Crook is a Principal of Tri State Surveying, Ltd., serves as one of four Project Managers in our Mapping and Water Rights Services group and acts as the Computer Systems Administrator for the company. Mr. Crook became licensed as a Professional Land Surveyor in 1994 and possesses over 15 years of surveying and mapping experience. Mr. Crook specializes in survey mapping for land divisions, engineering design surveys and topographic mapping, digital terrain modeling and volume analysis, ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys, boundary resolution, cadastral retracement surveys and route surveying.
 
Mr. Crook is recognized by the Nevada Department of Transportation as one of the foremost consultant experts in right-of-way engineering and mapping in the State of Nevada. Mr. Crook has worked on right-of-way engineering mapping for State Route 28, U.S. Highway 50, Interstate 80, Interstate 580, U.S. Highway 395 and U.S. Highway 95. Mr. Crook has also been the Project Manager for detailed engineering design surveys and precise topographic mapping for Reno/Tahoe International Airport projects.
 
Mr. Crook has developed precise methods for generating digital terrain models (DTM) and surface to surface subtraction for volume and quantity analysis that has become the standard for many Tri State Surveying clients. Mr. Crook's experience with multiple CAD systems, file translations and "tricks-of-the-trade" have proven to be a valuable asset to the other employees of Tri State Surveying and our clients.
 
Mr. Crook is a fishing enthusiast who enjoys fly-fishing, lake fishing, deep-sea fishing and spear fishing while scuba diving. He also has a 1966 Mustang GT that he takes pleasure in working on.
