Biographical Information
Mr. Smithson is Vice President of Construction Surveying Services for Tri State Surveying, Ltd. and serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the firm. Mr. Smithson became a Principal share holder in Tri State Surveying, Ltd. in 1998. Mr. Smithson has over twenty-one years of professional land surveying experience directing construction, surveying and mapping projects in the Truckee Meadows area of Reno, the Las Vegas Valley, Laughlin, Nevada, Sacramento, California and for various project sites in Idaho, Utah and Arizona.
 
Mr. Smithson is an expert at construction surveying for residential, commercial, roadway, highway and bridge projects. Mr. Smithson serves as the Director of Construction Surveying for the firm and directs the activities of two crew supervisors supporting eight field crews. Mr. Smithson is responsible for all construction surveying projects for the firm including cost estimates, scope of work and proposal preparation, project supervision and client contact, as well as quality assurance and quality control of construction surveying tasks.
 
Mr. Smithson is an avid big game hunter and took a Boone and Crocket Elk outside of Ely, Nevada in 1998. Mr. Smithson enjoys fly fishing, chukar hunting and camping with his family.
