Map MeetingTri State Surveying, by industry standards, is an extremely successful surveying, mapping and photogrammetry firm with offices in Sparks, Las Vegas, Carson City and Auburn, California. The firm was founded in 1981, incorporated in 1986 and has developed into a full-service land information company. We have grown from a two-man operation to employing a staff of over forty-five. This stable long term growth is a direct result of:

LuxorTri State Surveying was formed with the basic concept to provide complete, accurate surveying and mapping services to our clients at reasonable fees. The main goal being the most economical of the high quality surveyors has been accomplished through specialization. While we offer a complete range of surveying, mapping, global positioning and aerial photogrammetry services, we specialize in project support for preliminary engineering, land division mapping, support for final design and construction.
 
Other services we provide our clients include: expert witness consulting; boundary and route surveys; right-of-way engineering; topographic mapping; land division mapping; water rights management; ALTA Land Title Surveys; title abstracting; all aspects of construction surveying; and Geographic Information Systems services, and are staffed and equipped accordingly. This concentration on a limited field of endeavor has insured quality of our services and enabled us to control our overhead expenses.
 
Tri State Surveying is the largest firm providing exclusive surveying and mapping services in Nevada. This has three distinct advantages for our clients:
 
    (1) Professional Staff - Tri State Surveying has twelve Professional Land Surveyors on staff which insures all projects are managed by a registered individual.

    (2) Regional Presence - Tri State Surveying has four offices. One in the Reno/Sparks Truckee Meadows area, one in the Las Vegas Valley of Southern Nevada, one in Carson City and one in the Sierra foothills of Auburn, California. We maintain professional registrations in the states of Nevada, California, Oregon, Arizona, Utah, Idaho, Wyoming and New Mexico. We consider ourselves to be a mobile firm and we are proud of that fact;

Tri State Surveying provides our clients with a variety of digital mapping deliverable platforms including AutoCAD, Intergraph MicroStation and TerraModel.

stationThe staff and management of Tri State Surveying are very conscientious of the rapid advancements being made in surveying and mapping technology. We are a highly automated firm using only the latest reflectorless electronic total station instruments, digital bar code leveling systems, GPS/RTK survey systems, digital photogrammetry technology and high-speed networked computer systems. In addition, our staff prides itself on developing creative approaches to complex projects taking advantage of our advanced technology capabilities. We believe that this philosophy not only makes Tri State more competitive but most importantly, benefits our clients and their projects.
 
All of the staff members at Tri State Surveying are encouraged to attend seminars and conferences in order to keep up to date with the latest advancements in the surveying and mapping profession. Yearly budgets are set aside for expenditures to upgrade to the latest equipment.
 
We are a professionally active firm with staff members serving as officers and members of the American Congress on Surveying and Mapping, the National Society of Professional Surveyors, the American Association of Geodetic Surveyors, the American Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing, the Western Federation of Professional Surveyors, Nevada Association of Land Surveyors, the California Land Surveyors Association and the American Consulting Engineers Council.
